Hi, Andy.

Depends on the mask. If you follow standards, 192 is a class C network,
whick mask is 255.255.255.0. That means you have two netorks:
"192.168.0" and "192.168.1"

If your mask were a class A or B, then both will be on the same net. 

You would want to check your router rules (command route -n), your
firewall rules (command iptables-save) on both sides. Use tcpdump to
analyze where is the problem. Ask your administrator, also.
