I finally managed to get the Trident Cyberblade to work under the vesa
driver at 1024x 768 by specifying a colour depth of 24 instead of
16......who knew?
This still doesn't explain why the trident driver from X.org won't work
but at least it looks OK now.
I should also mention I threw a disk with SimplyMEPIS 3.3 in to see what
would happen and no surprise - X11 worked flawlessly. However, they are
still using XFree86 in SimplyMEPIS.
I'm sure there's a good reason why we changed over though.....right?
