I've had success using partimage to copy a dual-boot (linux+XP) system. In particular, it was nice because it allowed the imaging to take place over the network (pretty critical functionality when you're imaging a laptop). I think it supported encryption (of the network connection) too, though it was a year or two ago so I could be wrong on that point.
