Still a new user here - could you explain how the PATH is edited?
One does not edit PATH, one sets it. Somewhere your path is being set up for you, usually in scripts which are automatically run when you first log in. You edit the place your path is set. Places to look are normally: .profile ..bash_profile .bashrc YMMV Mike -- p="p=%c%s%c;main(){printf(p,34,p,34);}";main(){printf(p,34,p,34);} This message made from 100% recycled bits. I can explain it for you, but I can't understand it for you. I speak only for myself, and I am unanimous in that!
