Hi all When I play a dvd in xine, and tell xine to 'pass-thru' the audo to my dolby souround decoder, I hear the telltale switch noise which signals xine turning on spdif but after that no more sound is audible. Is there any way of knowing if the spdif stream actually contains sound and that it would mean my decoder's gone, or, that the stream is empty and the problem is xine, or alsa related?
