Anyone who can tell me why my USB DISC sometimes has to be mounted as /dev/sda1 and sometimes as /dev/sde1? And why does it show up as "usb (2)" on my desktop? In an xterm it is accessed as /mnt/usb. Also, I note that when I mount the CDROM, and then mount a floppy, the icon for the floppy is right on top of the icon for the CDROM. $ uname -a Linux Presario-1 2.6.10-1.771_FC2 #1 Mon Mar 28 00:50:14 EST 2005 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux Mike -- p="p=%c%s%c;main(){printf(p,34,p,34);}";main(){printf(p,34,p,34);} This message made from 100% recycled bits. I can explain it for you, but I can't understand it for you. I speak only for myself, and I am unanimous in that!
