I have some NFS mounts coming from the FC3 box going to various other
machines, including:

Sun Solaris 8/SunOS5.8

one example: uname -a
SunOS enigma 5.8 Generic_108528-16 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-5_10

and HP_UX machines, one example:

uname -a
HP-UX vornak B.11.11 U 9000/810 2015365771 unlimited-user license

Here is the kicker. I've tried various mounting options, but the end result
after a period of time, is always the same. The main mount is /Build5. Deep
into the mount, say 5 or 6 directories deep, 3 directories will disappear,
however not completely. If I do an ls, you get this

#ls

AcrobatReader Docs Lc Ut workflow_svc
Attclm Du Perform ViewManager
AutoSvrStartup FileManager RequestServer Vlt
C2 Ftridx ServiceRequest cenidx_svc
Db Inc Su centra_svc

However, a ls -l SHOULD give you this

# ls -l
total 400

note the 3 directories with the larger byte sizes. They, at times,
disappear. Looking like this

Even when they are gone, you can do an `ls` and they are there. My only fix
is to either remount, OR I can go onto the FC3 machine and do an `ls -R`
into those directories, and they show back up.
Has anyone seen this before?

Yes.
