Takkng the installation that I had trouble getting to be recognized
during an upgrade when testing Fedora, it recognized the released FC4 disks.
The installer recognized that I had rawhide installed. Mail was from
3/16/2005 to give a timeframe.
Giving that the releases seem to be recognize by the fedora-release
package, maybe the fedora-release package is corrupted in some way. If
you download the fedora-release package and replacefiles replacepkg the
rpm. it might uncorrupt some files.
It does not appear to be related to LVM directly, if at all.
