Not. Checked all my steps doing the bit manually and my command to configure eth1:

   ifconfig eth1 192.168.1.1 netmask 255.255.255.0

did not stick after reboot. Enter it again at command line and dhcpd starts.
So guess I need to edit a eth1 file.


subnet *192.168.1.0* netmask 255.255.255.0 {
     options routers *192.168.0.1*;

There is your problem.
