I have an IBM A22M CrystalClear SoundFusion Audio
Accelerator.  There is no sound in FC4.  None of the
appropriate controls are muted in Alsa or Volume Control.  I have the latest updates.

This problem is happening to a very great many people across many different platforms... including me..... but the latest wave of alsa updates has fixed it for me.

Give them a try.
