If you're using ACPI, you probably want to poke around /etc/acpi/events and look for the event that's being triggered when the lid closes. If you're using APM (i.e. on an older machine), you'll probably have to disable suspend-on-lid-close in your BIOS. A little more info about this laptop would help ... I use an old Thinkpad 570E as a print server / internet gateway. It runs all the time with the lid shut. -- -------------------------------------------------------------------- * Charles Taylor <tomalek@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> * Chemistry instructor / Mad scientist / Linux enthusiast! -------------------------------------------------------------------- * Web: http://home.mindspring.com/~charletiv/ --------------------------------------------------------------------
