It has been a few months but I did get the ethernet controller on an
Asus P5GD2 mother board working.  It had a Marvel 88e8053 chip set which
appears to be similar to yours.

I downloaded the driver from
http://www.syskonnect.com/syskonnect/support/driver/zip/linux

The file I downloaded was Install-8_13.tar.  They may have upgraded that
by now.

To get this to build I had to setup the following link:

ln -s /lib/modules/"VERSION OF YOUR KERNEL"/build /usr/src/linux

This was under FC3.

After the link was in place the build worked just fine and I had the on
board network interface working.
