FC4 and sound on the DELL Precision M70

Hi,

Sound is not working on the DELL M70 laptop.

When I run "system-config-soundcard" I get the following error:
=====================================================================
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: No protocol specified

system-config-soundcard requires a currently running X server
=====================================================================

Of course, I am running an Xserver.

Has anyone else seen this? How to get sound going in FC4?
