I don't have a lot of experience in Linux, but I,ve been struggling in RAID this week and mdadm is ready what you need. Very need tools. They all say mdadm is the tool and raidtool is no longer a standard one from the base package. Just partition and add using mdadm back to the array and it will rebuild it self. Pretty interesting. By the way, was it the secondary or the primary that failed? Wondering if there is any difference at recovery on any of the RAID1 disc??? -------------------------------------------- Date: Fri, 17 Jun 2005 13:13:27 -0400 From: "Jason Hoffert" <jhoffert@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: RE: RAID Recovery To: "For users of Fedora Core releases" <fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx> Message-ID: <BBD0018412925A47AB3AA504D457A1494ABBC4@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Thanks! This was actually a simple and straight forward process. Software RAID may seem fine, but it's awful when you don't know how to recover from a failure. Jason
