My solution was to change /etc/security/console.perms.d/50-default.perms sound to this: <console> 0660 <sound> 0660 root.audio I rebooted to see what would happen if starting from scratch and the permissions are set correctly: crw-rw---- 1 root audio 14, 3 Jun 16 19:42 /dev/dsp ____________________________________________________ Yahoo!
