(Like maybe the IMAP stuff, e.g.) It is intended to shrink the size of the Core and to transfer packages to Extras. So Cyrus-IMAPd moved to Extras as the default IMAP/POP3 server is dovecot and in the Core. > b) On a FC3->FC4 upgrade via yum, what packages might be left that are > now orphaned cruft. This can't be answered absolutely, it depends on the packages you installed which are not Core or Extras. If you have a clean FC3 (Core and Extras only) there should be left over nothing as package version degrade are covered by epoch upgrades. When upgrading via yum make sure you have the Fedora Extras repo enabled. > --Jack Alexander -- Alexander Dalloz | Enger, Germany | GPG http://pgp.mit.edu 0xB366A773 legal statement: http://www.uni-x.org/legal.html Fedora Core 2 GNU/Linux on Athlon with kernel 2.6.11-1.27_FC2smp Serendipity 21:14:56 up 20 days, 19:52, load average: 0.81, 0.58, 0.50
