Are you saying to install jpackage? The site is hideous and very hard to read. I feel like I'm blind when I look at it.
No (although JPackage apparently is the future of Java for Linux, at least Red Hat style). Just follow the instructions for setting up a build environment for the nosrc packages in the non-free section.
Thanks. It would probably have been quite a while before I tried the non-free section, as it seemed to me that anything I was likely to use would be free.
Sorry, I should have been clearer about that.
or Michael Fratoni's rpm_enviroment scripts (http://www.tuxfan.homeip.net:8080/hack.html) for example.
That site seems to be gone or off-line. Do you have a copy of rpm_environment?
That link and http://www.tuxfan.homeip.net:8080/hacks/rpm_environment.tar.gz work fine for me. Temporary problem?
Nope. Still not there. Is the IP 68.186.250.171?
$ host www.tuxfan.homeip.net www.tuxfan.homeip.net is an alias for tuxfan.homeip.net. tuxfan.homeip.net has address 68.186.250.171
And it still works for me, so I'm not sure what to tell you there. I'll mail you a copy off-list.
The fedora-rpmdevtools idea is probably at least as good as my suggestions.
OK, thanks.
