Hello linux user :)
I am running FC2, and i dont see any package updates with yum/apt anymore (enabled a lot repo's (ie dag dries freshrpms and so on)). Is FC2 dead in support? No more new kernels, i dont see security updates. The last month a few packages where updated and for FC3 i see much more. Also why i dont see new FC2 kernels? FC3 some new kernels came out.
I know FC2 is transported to a legacy state like FC1. But as always with RH releases support for older releases always become dead after a while when new versions are out. Thats pitty. Because if it is not broken why upgrade to a new distro? I did upgrade a FC2 box to FC3 with the CD's but after the upgrade a lot software was broken and needed a new run of ./configure. Thats why i do not upgrade my main box FC2 to FC3 or even 4. FC2 runs fine here and besides its more stable then FC3 overhere.

Any updates for FC2 will now come from fedoralegacy.org (have you configured yum to use the fedoralegacy repo?), and they'll be limited to security updates in the main.
The third-party repos may still provide FC2 updates though; whether or not they do will be a matter of policy for each repo.
