iptables-restore v1.2.11: Couldn't load match `string':/lib/iptables/libipt_string.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

This library is not installed on my FC3 system, either. Do you use any exotic rules, which might require such a library?
You can check the consistency of the installed iptables package with the command
rpm -V iptables
if it returns no results, it is consistent.
