This is my second request. Any assistance is resolving this issue is appreciated...
During the installation of Fedora Core 3 x86_64, anaconda installer starts, vesa (generic video) detected, unknown monitor. When the x-server attempts to start, the video dies. I tried booting with "linux nofb". Only unreadable dialogs appear after using this. I also attempted to use nofb and specifying the resolution, and that didn't work either.
run the text installer. when booting off the cd type:
linux text
once you've got the system installed you should be able to configure it with:
system-config-display
which should work.
This problem is only present during the x86_64 installation. There is no issue with the 32-bit installation. My monitor (ViewSonic LCD VG191) is detected properly, and everything runs smooth. I would like to install the 64-bit version, since I purchased a 64-bit processor.

Is there anyone on this list who has a solution?
