Sorry, if udev is updated then there is more to the
problem, what burner do you have?

Have you tried burning with k3b?
with xcdroast?
What is the end result?
What messages do you get?
Maybe its one of those ugly situations where the
burner is not supported.  Hope that your situation is
resolved.
