I kind of find out what might be the cause.  It's probably because of
DMA.  This freezing happens not only when watching DVD, but also
watching other videos stored on the hard drive.  It also happens when
mythtv is recording.  Not sure how well the ATI IXP200 chipset is
supported in Linux.
