Hotplug is not working and I have found a bunch of files like this in

.fstab.hal.0, .fstab.hal.0h and alike generally unknowk type, apart

What does it mean??? can I delete them???
As any USB reader is not automatically mounted, may thet haldaemon
or/and messagebus are nort working??
