To remove this file go to the directory /home/peter/.thunderbird/43r07o17.default/Mail/Local Folders/ and remove "Inbox~" directly or in xterm rm /home/peter/.thunderbird/43r07o17.default/Mail/Local Folders/Inbox~ -- John H Ludwig Common sense is so rare, why do they call it common!!!
