Hi,

Does anyone know of a way to extract in Linux the partition labels for
Windows/FAT/NTFS. For example, I dual boot with multiple NTFS
partitions. In Windows 2000 they are labeled 'Win200' for C and
'Media' for D, etc. Is there some way to list those labels ('Win2000'
and 'Media') in Fedora?

AFAIK Windows doesn't label partitions like linux does. But you could
try parted with the print option.

I believe that Windows stores the disk label in an entry in the root directory; at least that's how it was done for xFAT drives.
