Hello list,
The aacraid driver doesn't properly work with the Dell CERC SATA 1.5/6ch in the early 2.6 kernels.
reason: http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=linux-scsi&m=110252243627410&w=2
Dell released a driver disk for this problem with the fix at: http://linux.dell.com/files/aacraid/fc3/
But I cannot seem to load the driver that's on the disk. Somehow the FC3 install simply ignores the driver on there and load it's own (resulting in /dev/sda erroring out when in rebuilding state)
I've tried booting with:
linux dd text <-- it just loads it's own driver after reading the disk
linux dd noprobe text <-- it'll read the driver disk, but still displays it's own aacraid driver in the manual selection.
The disk is fine, I can properly mount it in the shell console during install.
Does anyone know how I can force it loading the driver on the driverdisk and ignore the internal aacraid driver ?
Met vriendelijke groet,
