Hello all,

I'm looking for a program that lets me join MP3 files together (to
make iPod Audio Books). I found two for the Mac, they don't work, a
few for windows with Spyware attached or buggy to the extreme and none
for Linux. I found no reference to such a program on this list (and I
have archives for the past year, 83000+ messages) and I found nothing
with Google. Any help is appreciated. I'd write one if I knew anything
about the MP3 file format, but I don't right now and don't have the
time to learn/figure it out.

Best regards,
Chris

Evil and from the command line but works,

$cat 1.mp3 2.mp3 > combined.mp3

done and done.

All right--can you tell me how to split a big MP3 file into two smaller files, each of which I could then convert to WAVeform and then burn onto a CD?
