these are IDE hard drives ... not SATA. I 've 2 choices in the promise bios : to do raid or nothing. No possibilities to set it in UDMA mode ... : only to do raid or not.
The PDC20378 is a SATA controller. If you have IDE drives, why would you expect it to work for them? Have a look at the Introduction in the FastTrak 378 Quick Start Drive; it mentions only Serial ATA and Ultra ATA disks.
