I searched around for 10 minutes or so on google and so far haven't found a solution to having lost my gnome desktop background and all icons. I do have the menu bars. When I try to run File Manager from the apps menus nothing happens either. This is FC3.

I haven't made any system changes to this box other than yesterday installing AcroReader7 from adobe.com.

Any ideas welcome!  Jim
