I'm using a Microsoft optical wheel mouse via the PS/2 mouse port on my machine, and sometimes the on-screen mouse pointer and its location as far as the system is concerned are off by maybe 100 pixels to one side. Like to click on something, I have to put the mouse maybe 100 pixels to the right of the thing I want to click on. Any idea what might cause this?
