Ok, because you're knew to this, here's what I suggest:

Go down to Windows and write down as much information you can about how you currently get to the internet.

Including ISP, connection type, modem brand/model/type/connection, etc. And post them back here.

Have you already downloaded and burnined the cds?
What machine (specs) do you plan on installign Fedora on?
