The red hat bible is a very good book. I got it for RH9. However is was out of stock so I bought Fedora core unleashed from sams which is on about the same level. Either title is about 1000 pages and cover all the newbie stuff. Both books are a great start.

Thanks for mentioning my book. That book is updated with each Fedora release now, so there is a new edition about every six months. The latest is the Red Hat Fedora Linux 3 Bible.
