Hello everyone, I've searched the archives and found several "solutions" to problems with FC3 and Firewire, but I've tried them and they don't seem to work. First, have a laptop, Toshiba Satellite Pro 4600, running FC3. I have a PCMCIA firewire card. lspci produces: 0b:00.0 FireWire (IEEE 1394): NEC Corporation uPD72874 IEEE1394 OHCI 1.1 3-port PHY-Link Ctrlr (rev ff) /var/log/messages says: Apr 17 00:39:48 localhost kernel: PCI: Enabling device 0000:0b:00.0 (0000 -> 0002) Apr 17 00:39:48 localhost kernel: ohci1394: fw-host0: Unexpected PCI resource length of 1000! Apr 17 00:39:48 localhost kernel: ohci1394: fw-host0: OHCI-1394 1.1 (PCI): IRQ=[11] MMIO=[11800000-118007ff] Max Packet=[2048] I'm trying to use a combo USB 2.0/Firewire external hard drive. I've followed these instructions on solving this, but neither help: http://forums.fedoraforum.org/archive/index.php/t-26620.html https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-list/2004-December/msg06925.html Any help is appreciated!
