How much system memory do you have? I had a problem on one computer
that stopped the installation of rpms after only installing less than 5
rpms in either GUI or text install. Adding additional system memory let
the installer complete. (was 256 MB, now with an additional 512 MB,for
test 1, I'm sitting out for discs for test 2) - :-)

Hi Jim; I have 512M. I was not tryimg to install on this machine, just burn and check the CD's
It's an Athlon XP 2800+, 512M DDR.

Then the problem would not be what I experienced while trying to install FC4T1. The memory that I had when installing FC4T1 was 512 MB. I first expected the 256 MB might be bad, installed with the new 512 MB and later added the 256 MB set aside back in for the 768 MB I now have.
fedora-test-list archives has discussions regarding the media check issue. Maybe bad cables, need newer flash update for your CDROM, etc.
