when will it finally support airport extreme though?--- dunno - the original airport cards were re-branded Orinoco cards and should just work but I haven't tested it to know that for sure - the 'extreme' might not be supported right away
airport extreme is the broadcom airforce chipset... and as you're on powerpc arch you can't use the windows ndis driver. so unless someone does something similarly kinking to load the apple driver, or broadcom releases the specs you're kinda stuck.
