What command are you using? And what is the
corresponding line in /etc/fstab?  You might try
editing fstab (make a copy first!) and commenting out
the /dev/hda6 line, saving, then try:

mkdir /mnt/fat32
mount /dev/hda6 /mnt/fat32

Failing that, goto http://www.sysresccd.org, download
the iso, burn it, and boot from that.  I wish I had
found it earlier.  Dump GRUB and use GAG which is
supplied on the CD!
