Something I forgot to mention -- all the KDE apps know fish:// natively. ~ That means you can do ultra mega cool things like giving fish://user@hostname/path/to/dir in a KDE File Open dialog of Kate or Kwrite, and getting the dialog populated with the remote directory contents that you can doubleclick on to open a file, and when you are done, the save button in the app now saves directly to the remote PC over ssh!
Fantastic way to edit PHP on a remote server.
