Curious. The Outlook client at $WORKPLACE continues after my name with my email address in square brackets.
What should certainly work for you is to open the message and then select "Options..." from the "View" menu of the message window. Near the bottom of the resulting dialog box is an area labelled "Internet headers:". Scroll down that area until you see the "From:" header, which will show the sender's email address.
Regarding MySQL, you should start a new thread (post a new message to fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx rather than reply to an existing one) with a suitable Subject: header if you can't find the solution using google or the list archives.
