You may generate yourself a modeline, i.e. with

http://xtiming.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/xtiming.pl

(other calculator can be found with google: "modeline generator")

Place the modeline into the Section "Monitor" in /etc/X11/xorg.conf. And
keep care that you have in Section "Screen" a corresponding resolution
entry of 1680x1050.
