No - sorry - haven't run KDE in a while - there may indeed be a CD drive
mounting problem in KDE and I wouldn't know it.

Just the notion that there are vast differences between the two (which
there are - but Red Hat (and thus Fedora) has sought to blur the
differences and make them appear to be much the same.

I'm quite certain that a GNOME desktop as delivered by GNOME and a KDE
desktop as delivered by KDE - without Red Hat / Fedora alterations might
demonstrate some of the differences more readily.
