I ran into this problem last week. In my case, the problem was that
some commercial scientific software I am using from Accelrys was bundling
its own libstdc++ and libgcc_s.so which conflicted with the ones in FC2.
Try using a minimal .cshrc or .bashrc and see if the problem is something
like that.
