HP Laser 4L Properties Problem

hello, I'm brand new to all of this.
No quite a PC illiterate, but a Linux learner.
(Please be nice to me by remembering I have no
knowledge of the acronyms/jargon, as yet)

General Set Up
Running Fedora Core on one PC, not partitioned. (wife's)
Windows LAN in home office
Other 2 PCs running WXP & W2kPro
ADSL router modem on W2kPro PC (mine)
LAN default printer (HP4L) on same W2kPro PC (mine)
Linux machine connects to www via Firefox and Ximian


Problem
I can't seem to get the Linux PC to use the HP4L in
draft/econo mode. Tried most obvious fixes, but still
no luck.

Any pointers, please?
