If you need passwordless ssh login, you need to re-generate ssh key pair with "no" passphrase.  During the ssh-keygen process make sure to press just [enter] key when it asks for "Enter passphrase (empty for no passphrase)"

Although this is not recommened for security purpose but since you're in a controlled-lab, it should be OK.

I would also recommend to restrict ssh access using hosts.allow and hosts.deny for security purpose.
