This used to happen to me under FC1; I only have a hint as to what it is- I'm not an X programmer (maybe this post will inspire someone who DOES know to comment). There's an X setting...sHm or Xshm? Some little TLA that was once optional, then came standard, on Fedora systems. I'll look into the preferences and see what I have... There it is. There's a preference for Gstreamer settings...don't know how/if this relates to the standard KDE setup...it's Xv. Having that specified helped a _lot_ with such problems. If this isn't enough clue to get ya started, let me know offlist and I'll send you a copy of my X setup so you can get the details, and anything else you might need. I once used a machine I called "Hydra" with a set of screens on that same mga driver. For $120 I got three, 19" sync-on-green screens, cables, video cards and everything. THAT was fun, though I couldn't play OpenGL things. Being able to harness that much real estate was a blast! I hope you're having as much fun, on yours. > Paul Almquist > paul@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Eau Claire, WI USA Eau Claire, aye? Beauty. I've not been there in many, many, many moons. We went to the Dells several times back in our heyday; the snow, the trees, the german shepard on the rock...I sure hope I get back up there one of these days.
