Well, we could to and fro with bunch of diagnostics and try to figure out what's gone wrong and how to fix it, but since your FC3 install is "new", I'm tempted just to suggest reinstalling FC3 on /dev/hda5 and this time tell it to install grub on the root partition of your Fedora installation (i.e. /dev/hda5).

It should then "just work".

Hi All,

ok, sounds like a tempting thing to me..lol..Paul, anything I should be wary of, with doing this.? Can't think of any off hand. Cheers.

No, it's not writing to anywhere but /dev/hda5, so it should have no effect on anything else.

Paul.

Hi All,

ok, already 10mins into it. Cheers again, Paul.

Hi All,

ok, when doing the re-install, to hda5, I clicked advanced, and chose 1st partition of /dev/hda5 for the bootloader, but, it still loads the original bootloader for the FC2 installation. What's the workaround for this..? Sorry, Paul. Cheers.
