- install xp to the first drive leaving space at the end of the drive for the linux partition - boot into windows and use partition magic (or other) to format the linux partition ext2 - at the same time partition the second disk into three and format as FAT32 - reboot windows - boot the fc3 disk1 and install the grub boot loader into the mbr (master boot record) - select to automatically partition and install linux into the ext2 partition - both operating systems will be able to see and use files stored in the FAT32 partitions (if these partitions are not present in the linux file system when you open the file browser then simply mount them as directories, you will easily find help on mounting drives in linux)
