When I try to add a custom emacs launcher to the panel in both KDE and gnome, it doesn't work. I get the following error:
Cannot open load file: term/x-win
What output does

   rpm -qa "emacs*"

give you?

emacs-21.3-17

You don't have emacs-common installed ??
Oops... I missed the "*". Here's the output with the wildcard:

emacs-nox-21.3-17
emacspeak-17.0-7
emacs-leim-21.3-17
emacs-common-21.3-17
emacs-el-21.3-17
emacs-21.3-17

(Btw there is a newer emacs package in fc3 updates.)
Again after running up2date:
emacs-nox-21.3-21.FC3
emacs-21.3-21.FC3
emacspeak-17.0-7
emacs-common-21.3-21.FC3
emacs-el-21.3-21.FC3
emacs-leim-21.3-21.FC3

The problem I'm having wasn't fixed by the update.
