i don't know if this was answered or not, but sawfish is available for fc3. i have it and it runs, i'm just having a little trouble with the workspace/viewport section go to http://xwinman.org. he's got it all. there's a sawfish list and they're very responsive and helpful when you get it, compiled et alia, you run it like this bash# ps auxww | grep metacity root 5464 0.1 2.9 blah blah blah 0:04 /usr/bin/metacity --sm id blah say it's pid 5464 bash# kill 5464; /usr/local/bin/sawfish & boom!!, it runs if you want to keep it, logout and click the "save session" checkbox , then click 'ok', restart xwindows, i use runlevel 3 so it boots to the command prompt, it makes it easier to install nvidia drivers, you can set it from --main menu->system settings->login screen the greeter section, i think i did it the hard way, editing some xinit file i don't remember which all the sawfish setting can be accessed thru the sawfish-ui program in the sawfish install directory usu. /usr/local/sawfish, or thru the .sawfishrc file that you copy into your home dir from a file called "OPTIONS" , like bash# cp OPTIONS .sawfishrc, and then just uncomment the sections you want to use if you want to retain the double-click-title bar->maximize-window feature, just go to sawfish-ui and find the keyboard shortcuts section and instead of "global", pick 'title', then find button1-off2 and change the function to maximize-window-toggle it's in the 'bindings' tab in sawfish-ui, where 'context' is changed to 'title' anyway, i hope that works, oh yeah, you can get the cool clean theme from the sawfish homepage link, it puts the window buttons back in the right place sayonara, philip dahlquist
