I think you're right, though soft hyphenation does work (manually inserting possible hyphenation points using control "-", but see Bug https://bugzilla.redhat.com/beta/show_bug.cgi?id=134649 first). For completeness, what language are you configured to use? As hyphenation is language-dependent. Go to Tools > Options > Language Settings > Language. Also make sure the hyphenation module is enabled, go to Tools > Options > Language Settings > Writing Aids. Under the Available Language Modules section, make sure that the ALTLinux LibHnj Hyphenator is checked (if not hit the Edit... button). But even I, using English(USA) locale, can not seem to get automatic hyphenation to work either. [Running FC3 with OOo 1.1.3-6.5.0]. -- Deron Meranda
