Hello,
I am using a fc3 system with gnome 2.8. Does anyone know how to
upgrade it to 2.10?
see this thread http://www.fedoraforum.org/forum/showthread.php?t=46609
And also I can not find a way to edit my start
menu. Any help would be appreciated.
Editing menus is not easyly done
Found this on another list:
(as root)
cd /etc/gnome-vfs-2.0/modules
mv default-modules.conf default-modules.conf.without-menu-editing
cp default-modules.conf.with-menu-editing default-modules.conf
and if you should run in trouble
eg.
nautilus crash
no/only_a_few menus
...
and if you cannot solve it in an other way
delete/save your modified files
and execute
# rpm -Uvh --replacepkgs --replacefiles gnome-vfs(version).i386.rpm
Forgot a few things:
Then the next time you start gnome you should be able to edit the apps
menu by either normal method: right-click on the menu item you want to
edit, or go to the location "applications:///" in a nautilus window, and
rearrange things there.
